COACHES NEEDED
We are always looking for people to coach at all levels. Training is offered for all first time coaches. For those who want to take any NCCP courses, Spruce Grove Minor Ball will help with the costs for our coaches. Without people to coach, our programs can not run properly. PLEASE consider volunteering for one of our coaching positions when you register your child. Also remember that head coaches of rookie level or higher receive a $50 credit towards their child's registration next year.

CALLING ALL UMPIRES
We are in need of an Umpire in Chief. This very important position needs to be filled as we all know how hard it is to play baseball without umpires. If you or someone you know may be interested please let any Executive Member know. We are also looking for new and returning umpires for the upcoming season. We will be hosting an Umpire Clinic on April 10 and 11th for everyone wanting to re-certify or for those who want to certify for the first time as long as there is enough interest. For more information contact Dwight Johnson. We are looking for youth who are Bantam age or older and "more experienced" adults to umpire here in Spruce Grove.

BINGO WORKERS NEEDED
Did you know that by working at a Spruce Grove Minor Ball bingo, you can earn a $65.00 credit that you can use towards baseball registration, baseball camps, and team fees in Spruce Grove? We have numerous bingos each year (14-16) and these bingos help Spruce Grove Minor Ball keep registration fees as low as possible. Please sign up to work a bingo or two at registration to help out our association and help ease the cost of registering your kids in baseball.

MIDGET PROGRAM
In 2012, SGMBA will be offering a Midget Performance (AAA) team that will participate in the Baseball Alberta Midget AAA league. We will also offer a Midget Community level team.

For more information about the Midget AAA program please visit http://ballcharts.com/sprucegrove.

BANTAM PROGRAM
In 2012, SGMBA will be offering a Bantam Performance (AAA) team that will participate in the Baseball Alberta Bantam AAA league. We will also offer a Bantam Community level team. It is very important that ANY Bantam aged player wanting to play baseball at any level come out to the evaluation/try-outs.

PEEWEE AND MOSQUITO PROGRAM
Spruce Grove will be offering a PeeWee Performance team in 2012.

ROOKIE AND LEARN TO PLAY
These levels are played only in Spruce Grove and Stony Plain, with no travel outside the area. These teams will be picked in mid April as their season starts in early May and runs until the end of June.

REP TEAMS
All players playing on a rep team will be required to pay Rep Fees and will incur additional costs above the stated registration fees. Each team and level will have different fees depending on the divisions they play in. You can get more information at try-outs. Rep teams will be required to travel more than house teams and will play primarily on weekends.

SCHOLARSHIPS/AWARDS
For the first time, SGMBA will be offering a PLAYER RECOGNITION award to one player from every team that we have this year. Details will be available at registration and will be given to each team coach.

Do you know of a player that has played their last 3 years of ball in Spruce Grove and are currently enrolled in their second year of Post Secondary Education? They are eligible to apply for up to $1000.00 in scholarship money.

VOLUNTEERS
The strength of any organization is its volunteers. From coaches to concession workers, diamond preparation to building pitching mounds, without people volunteering their time, many projects would not get done. We will need multiple volunteers for level coordinators, construction help, to pictures. Please volunteer to help make SGMBA the best it can be.
